Share Your Story organizes empowerment workshops for and with young people.
Our empowerment workshops are aimed at people affected by racism and offer space for biographical work, reflection and creative strategies.
Criticism of racism requires not only educational work, but also personal reflexion. This works best in a small group. The goal of the workshop is to:
– jointly open a common space for exchange of experiences and networking
– jointly develop creative methods of documenting and publicizing one's own experiences
– share and collect concrete stories of experiences
– find Inspiration
– create a space for ideas on how to creatively process one's own stories
Our first empowerment workshop took place online October 29-31, 2021. It was open to young people between the ages of 14 and 29 who are affected by racism, meaning BIPoC, migrant, marginalized or racialized people.
The creative workshop was led by Julia Schwarz (empowerment trainer) as well as Su-Jin Song (director, lecturer) and Joris Niggemeier (youth education advisor). "Share Your Story" is an EPRIE.labs project in collaboration with the Korea Verband and the Robert Bosch Stiftung.
